Cold Chain Monitoring

With the solution for cold chain monitoring, you keep temperature and location of temperature-sensitive shipments like food or medication in real-time. This reduces losses and deviations, ensures product quality, and meets regulatory requirements for timely and complete deliveries.

Challenge: Temperature-sensitive goods do not arrive in perfect condition

Missing real-time data on the condition and arrival of goods

Time-consuming and error-prone manual documentation

Insufficient proof of compliance with transport conditions

No ability to take countermeasures in case of deviations

How pyliot can help

Real-time location & temperature data

Receive precise information about the location and environmental conditions, such as temperature and humidity. These data can also be recorded to the minute.

Detection of deviations

Monitor transport conditions and detect deviations early to identify and address problems before delivery.

Alerts

Define threshold values for environmental conditions. Deviations trigger automatic warnings to enable immediate action.

Robust sensors for the cold chain

Our trackers can be easily attached to transport boxes or pallets using magnets, screws, or adhesive. After activation, the system continuously records data on temperature, humidity, and position. The robust design with protection against shocks and water makes them ideal for temperature-critical transport in demanding environments.

How do the trackers work?

Our trackers capture precise environmental data and location information. The integrated sensors measure temperature, humidity, air pressure, movement on three axes, and light exposure to document comprehensive environmental conditions. For location determination, technologies such as GPS, WiFi, and cellular triangulation are available. The collected data is securely transmitted to the cloud via cellular networks. In specific scenarios, local transmission technologies like LoRa or BLE may be used. In such cases, a gateway is required to reliably forward the data to the cloud. With pyliot, you get everything from a single source.

How long can the hardware be used without maintenance?

The battery lifespan of our trackers varies depending on the application and can last up to 8 years. Factors such as temperature, location updates, recording intervals, signal strength, or sensor data influence longevity. Our trackers are equipped with replaceable or rechargeable batteries, reducing maintenance times and maximizing operational efficiency.

How can tracking data be accessed?

Access your data anytime and from any device through the Pyliot App. The IoT platform provides real-time access, data history, and alerts for threshold breaches to respond quickly.

How many users can use the pyliot App?

There is no user limit. The system administrator can add as many users as needed and set their access permissions individually.

Who can access the data?

Each customer receives a dedicated instance that is exclusively accessible to them. Neither Pyliot nor third parties have access to your data without explicit consent—whether the data is captured on your premises or during transport. Pyliot only accesses your data for support inquiries after obtaining your explicit approval.

Can the data be integrated into other systems?

Our solutions enable seamless integration of all collected sensor and location data into ERP, WMS, or other customer systems. Data can be forwarded or retrieved via direct integration or API interfaces. Our team is happy to assist with technical implementation.

Which objects are suitable for the trackers?

Any objects with economic relevance to your processes are suitable. Trackers should be mounted with as much unobstructed view as possible. They can be fixed, magnetically attached, glued, or secured with cable ties.

What is the activation process?

Devices can be activated at the press of a button or conveniently via the cloud. Comprehensive documentation for commissioning the various trackers is available for your reference.

How many objects can be connected?

Our solution can scale to over 1,000,000 objects across numerous locations and users. With multi-client capability and precisely defined access rights, you can even create individual instances under your brand name for your customers, manage them, and flexibly adapt them to specific requirements.

What costs are involved in tracking solutions?

Costs depend on several factors:
- What parameters need monitoring? (e.g., position, temperature, vibration)
- Real-time tracking or scheduled status updates?
- Which tracking hardware best suits your use case?
- How many assets need to be networked?

In the classic model, costs include a one-time purchase of hardware and ongoing fees for data connectivity and the pyliot App.

Alternatively, we offer a full-service model providing the entire infrastructure as a service solution. This eliminates upfront costs, resulting in predictable, ongoing costs.

Our experts are happy to assist in selecting the most suitable and cost-efficient solution for your needs.
