Machine Monitoring

With our IoT solution for machine monitoring, you can always keep track of the utilization of your equipment and machinery. This allows you to accurately analyse usage, maintenance needs, and downtimes to optimise operations and extend the lifespan of your machinery.

Challenges: The machinery and equipment fleet is not optimally utilised

Unexpected breakdowns cause costly delays

Equipment deployments need to be manually recorded and assigned

High search times for machinery and spare parts

Excessive inventory binds unnecessary resources

How pyliot can help

Current data on location and condition

Receive precise live data of your fleet and improve the data density of your assets. This helps avoid overcapacity and enables more efficient deployment planning.

Automated utilisation monitoring

Machine and equipment operations are recorded and analysed in the cloud. Additionally, maintenance schedules can be tracked to reduce downtimes and extend their lifespan.

Precise cost allocation

Automatically capture usage hours for accurate project allocation. This optimises billing and identifies savings potential.

Robust trackers for various environments

Our IoT trackers can be easily and flexibly attached to machines or devices – glued, screwed, or flanged. Once activated, the system continuously records data on location, usage, and condition. Thanks to high protection ratings, they are ideal for use in construction sites and warehouse environments.

How do the trackers work?

Our trackers capture precise environmental data and location information. Integrated sensors measure temperature, humidity, air pressure, movement across three axes, and light levels to document comprehensive environmental conditions. Technologies like GPS, WiFi positioning, and cellular-based tracking are available for location determination. Collected data is securely transmitted to the cloud via mobile networks. In some scenarios, using local transmission technologies such as LoRa or BLE might be beneficial, in which case a gateway is required to forward data reliably to the cloud. With pyliot, everything comes from a single source.

How long can the hardware be used without maintenance?

The battery life of our trackers varies depending on application and can last up to 8 years. Factors like temperature, location updates, recording intervals, signal strength, or sensor data impact battery longevity. Our trackers are equipped with replaceable or rechargeable batteries, minimising maintenance time and maximizing operational efficiency.

How can tracking data be accessed?

Through the pyliot app, you can access your data anytime and from any device via a browser. The IoT platform offers real-time access, data history, and notifications for limit violations, enabling quick actions.

How many users can use the pyliot app?

There is no limit to the number of users. The system administrator can add as many users as required and customize their access rights individually.

Who can access the data?

Each customer gets a dedicated instance exclusively accessible to them. Neither pyliot nor third parties can access your data without your explicit consent—whether the data is captured at your facility or during transport. Of course, pyliot is available for support inquiries. However, we only access your data with your explicit approval.

Can the data be integrated into other systems?

Our solutions enable seamless integration of all captured sensor and location data into ERP, WMS, or other customer systems. Direct integration via API ensures smooth data transfer, tailored to your technical requirements.

Which objects are suitable for the trackers?

All objects of economic relevance for your processes are suitable. Trackers should be positioned to ensure maximum visibility. They can be mounted securely, magnetically attached, adhered, or fastened with cable ties.

How does commissioning work?

Devices can be activated directly on the device with a button or conveniently through the cloud. Comprehensive documentation for commissioning various trackers is available for your use.

How many objects can be connected?

Our solution can scale to over 1,000,000 objects as well as numerous locations and users. Thanks to multi-tenancy and precisely defined access rights, you can even create individual instances under your brand name for your customers, manage them, and flexibly adapt to specific requirements.

What costs are associated with the tracking solutions?

Costs depend on several factors:
- Which parameters need to be monitored? (e.g., position, temperature, shock)
- Real-time tracking or time-delayed status updates?
- Which tracking hardware best suits your use case?
- How many assets need to be connected?

In the traditional model, costs include a one-time hardware purchase and ongoing fees for data connection and use of the pyliot app.

Alternatively, we offer a full-service model, where the entire infrastructure is provided as a service solution. This eliminates initial costs and results in exclusively predictable, ongoing costs.

Our experts are happy to assist in selecting the most suitable and cost-effective solution for your needs.
